Operation Organization: Coat Closet

Today I am over at 11 Magnolia Lane sharing one of my favorite organization projects ... our coat closet.  I was thrilled when they asked me to share a post as part of their Operation Organziation: 2015 Edition.

It's winter and we all have a clutter of jackets, boots, hats, scarves and gloves at the door.  It is the inevitable drop zone.  The guests walk in ... discard their loot and drop it on the floor ... or even worse for me, hang it over the stair banister.  For our house it ends up being two doors ~ the front and the garage.  If you know me at all you know I don't do clutter.   It literally makes me itch.  The Hubs compares me to Monica Geller ... and yes I would love a tiny vacuum to clean my regular one.  I mean ... who wouldn't?

Last year at this exact time of the year we found ourselves snowed in and I found myself more than frustrated with the endless pile of wet items at my doors.  I was one day short of truly losing my mind.  Truth be told ... I am probably that way a lot.  xo

It was time to make our coat closet something more than a drop all for things that we needed to hide when guests popped in for a visit!

Head over to 11 Magnolia Lane to see the rest of the post ... and the coat closet now!

Every time I open the coat closet I am greeted with happy colors and organized winter wear.
And that is a great thing!  I actually am in the process of doing a similar thing to our pantry and butlers pantry ... stay tuned for details and reveal!

Happy bright storage spaces!

xo,
Paige
