* One Room Challenge * - Week 5

OMG!!!  How did it speed forward to Week 5!

Holy to do list Batman ... I may be freaking out!  This is always the week the stress piles on for me.  I start worrying how it will all fit together.  Deep breath ...

Ok ... let me back up just a tiche ...

I am in the process of transforming our kitchen and breakfast room for the One Room Challenge.  It's a big space and an exciting time and I have Linda to thank for all of it!  The room is quite different then the before photos as we are trekking along toward the finish line.  So many things happened last week and so many pieces of the puzzle have fallen into place.

Let's get to the good stuff ...

The walls are painted ... the wallpaper has been hung, the light is shining perfectly in its space.  Check, check and check!

The His and Hers chairs are home and even better than I could have imagined.  I have stared at them for too long this week ... time to focus on the rest of the room!

I am thrilled with the new side chair seats ... the leopard fabric is perfect for the space.  This was left over fabric and I don't know the name, but I will find it.  For now let's call it the most perfect blue leopard ever.

My bamboo chests are loving their time at the lacquer spa ... the truck came last week to get them and I should have them back by Monday at the latest!

They are both incredible pieces and I can't wait to see them all shiny and new!  The larger chest will be blue just like the design board.  I am madly in love with Farrow & Ball paint and can't wait to see that piece shine light a diamond in Drawing Room Blue.  The Drexel server will be the most glorious hot pink color.  Benjamin Moore Peony for the win!

My amazing Lucite curtain rods arrived and they are nothing short of perfect!!  I was so excited when I ordered them I completely forgot to order end caps and rings.  #oops.  I beat a path straight to the computer and ordered them ASAP and they should be here in a matter of days.

Can we please just have a moment of silence for these rods?  They are even better than I imagined they would be!  Thank you LuxHoldUps ... your rods are di-vine!!

And in almost perfect unison the Clarebella Studio fabric for the drapes arrived.  I almost forgot to change out of my pajamas before driving straight to the upholstery spa to drop it off for my panels.  Not that there is anything wrong with driving carpool or running errands in your pj pants. #totesnormal

I absolutely love the Langley pattern with the Clarence House paper ... it will be a perfect marriage!

What else did I do?

Oh yes ...

Ordered the rug.
Painted the hall.
Painted the platter divider insert for the cabinets.
Installed the new faucet ... well, the handy man did!
Checked on the art ... I pick it up this weekend!
Decided on placement for the gallery wall ... thank you Minted!

I can't wait to share how I chose the art and what they all mean to us.  I had the best time working with Minted, their art is gorgeous and their customer service is incredible.  All of the pieces arrived perfectly packed, framed beautifully and ready for hanging.

Oh, and to update you on the tile contractor!  He arrives this morning at 9, literally just in time!  He swears it will only take two days and he will be in and out in no time!  I am a little stressed but trusting the process.  I can't wait to see that nasty stone tile replaced with amazing white subway tile!
I will keep you posted!!

Let's check the to do list ...
