Christmas Brunch with Coton Colors

Last Saturday I put a pause in the busy to gather with seven of my closest friends to spend a morning of fellowship and celebration.  We gathered in the kitchen for brunch and spent a few hours truly just enjoying each other's company.  In the month of December when every single thing seems to be on fast forward it was a lovely way to spend the morning just sitting and loving on those girls who mean so much to me.  The laughter, good food and giggles carried me way past that morning for a fabulous memory I won't soon forget.

We were treated to someone fabulous treats from Coton Colors which truly made the morning even more special. This amazing Red Stripe Big Platter was a fun addition to the brunch and I love that I can swap out the top for different events.  I have this wreath and the darling Christmas countdown above.  I love counting down the days to Christmas, it brings out the kid in me changing the date every single morning!!

I set the table with my favorite Blue Willow plates and a mixture of red and green napkins.  I used my green monogram napkins for the six seats in the middle and two red stripe napkins for the end seats.  I loved it so much and the contrast of the red napkins was a fun addition.

I made this amazing Orange, Pomegranate & Rosemary Sparkling Punch from Waiting on Martha and poured it into my favorite punch bowl.  I have made a few cocktails this winter using fresh rosemary and I now love adding it, you must try it if you have ever had a cocktail with fresh rosemary.  I love to serve punch ... its just more fun than single cocktails.  I am doing my best to single handedly bring back the punch!

Our menu for the morning included Bacon & Egg Breakfast Casserole, fresh fruit and granola, Pomegranate & Mandarin Salad and my favorite donut holes.  The food was fabulous and the casserole will be a regular in our home for quite a while, it was truly delicious.

We gathered in the kitchen to catch up and to enjoy some punch to start the morning.  After a while we sat and ate and truly lingered over the meal for quite some time.  I loved having their beautiful faces and giggles all gathered in my kitchen for the morning.  The best part about creating a home is the people who gather in it and having my precious friends all seated at my kitchen table was so special.

After a while we retired to the den and played a little game of ornament swap.  Coton Colors had sent me eight of the most beautiful ornaments to share with my friends.  Their ornaments are always a favorite of mine and it was such a treat to be able to share my favorites as gifts.  I wrapped them in darling bags from Sugar Paper from Target and added in a few of my favorite things to make it a bag full of happy!  I love these Merry Christmas bags, the collection is so darling and I loved the bags all dolled up and filled with happies.

I asked each of the girls to share their craziest Christmas memories and we sat forever laughing until we cried.  It was so fun just sitting around giggling for more than an hour.  After we chatted and swapped bags many times the girls opened their bags to reveal an ornament that was truly perfect for each of them.

My precious friends ... aren't they are gorgeous?  I can promise you these dear women are each so precious to me.  Life is just easier with good friends ... and way more fun!!

We wouldn't be bloggers without a selfie or two ... I adore my sweet Skipper!!

I requested each of the girls send me a photo of their ornament in its new home on their tree and each image that arrived was so fun to see.  Coton Colors makes the most amazing ornaments, don't you agree?  Each ornament comes in a darling little box with a matching ribbon topper.  I mean, could they be more perfect for me?

How darling are each of their trees?  I absolutely loved getting texts with happy, thankful messages and images of their new ornaments.  The Christmas season is so busy and it is easy to get caught up in the busy but it is the moments we slow down and soak it all in are truly the best!

Thank you Coton Colors for treating us to the most wonderful Christmas morning we will not soon forget!

Merry Christmas ... only two more sleeps!!
