Four Days In Winter Park

Where oh where do I begin?  Maybe at the very beginning a few months ago when I received a fun little email from Ginny Enstad asking if I would ever consider coming to Winter Park, Florida. Little did she know at the time she emailed me that not only was I willing but the response she got would be in all caps with an OMG ... YES PLEASE.

What started as a simple email request turned into a brand packed four days of complete bliss for me. Surrounded by sights of "home" and wonderful people I was treated to many meet and greets, two days at The Grove, dinners and quality talks with new friends, brunch and shopping with the girls of The Monogram Merchant and a lovely cocktail party hosted by Leslie Dasch and her darling husband on their own of a kind property on Lake Virginia.  From brunching with the gals at Barnies after arriving in a pink Fiat Jolly to a lovely cocktail hour with Leslie and her darling friend Laurie I could not have asked for a more perfectly planned weekend full of inspiration.  Instead of arriving home exhausted and drained I arrived full of ideas and a head spinning with plans.  So much love was poured into me I could hardly speak of it all. I have so much to share and will have to break it up over three posts.  When it is this good there is no need to rush it, right?

I have shared many times I am a Florida girl but don't know if I have shared my love for Orlando and Winter Park and all it has meant to me and my life.  When my parents divorced at a very early age my father moved to Orlando and went to work for Disney.  I spent a lot of weekends with him and Orlando became an instant second home for me.  Many days spent on the lake turned my already strong love for all things water related into a deeper love for the "big city".  My grandparents would take me to Disney quite regularly and then further into downtown Orlando and to Winter Park for shopping trips, lunches at Jacobson's and many walks down the brick streets of Park Avenue.  When it came down to where to attend college it was pretty much a no brainer ... UCF for the next four plus years.  After graduating I settled into a job, an apartment in Winter Park and a life full of possibility.

The rest as they say ... is history!

When we started brainstorming about how to make it all come together we settled on a coming home party with all my favorite brands. La Roque was scheduled for a trunk show and since I am obsessed with AnnaBelle and her amazing clothes it was a perfect match.  We added in Ginny's Orchids, cheese biscuits from Merry Cheese Crisps, art from Paige Gemmel and mixed it with the brands at The Grove I work with and love so very much.  It was one big party of Toss Designs, Brooke Wright Designs, Hazen & Co., Dana Gibson, Shop Lettermade, Moon & Lola and Jayes.  Much like all your favorite people in one space at one time.

Which of course means champagne and corks popping left and right!

So after two days at The Grove I headed off to more champagne and this time mixed with orange and pomegranate juice for brunch at The Monogram Merchant.  Leslie Dasch debuted her holiday collection of cocktail clutches and we chatted bows, monograms and life way past when we planned to leave.  Isn't that the best ever?

We ended Saturday evening with a lovely cocktail party at the home of The Dasch's and I can't tell how truly lovely it was.  Perfect company, perfect music, incredible food and wonderful champagne.  To say I was treated to so much goodness doesn't even do it justice.  All I can say is the photos truly don't do the weekend justice, but they remind me of every moment and so many memories and giggles!

Can you see why I came home filled with love and inspiration?  It was so good to return to a place so special to me and to be filled up by so many wonderful women and experiences!

Until the next time ... which by the way looks like December!  #eek

Happy Thursday all ...
