Happy 2018!! I am days into major hibernation with my people and truly I can not imagine spending the holiday break any other way. The kids have had multiple adventures and I have been the one to lay low, probably lower than I have in years and I can tell you I definitely don't hate the decision to unplug some and truly just relax.
After a quiet evening in on New Year's Eve we spent the next day relaxing, soaking up hours in front of the fire and drinking hot beverages on repeat. It was truly nothing short of perfection and the best way to ring in the new year. We had planned to spend the first day of the year with friends and then the plans changed and we swapped it for more movies, games in the den and just truly spending some needed quality time together. I am more than half way through binge watching The Crown and I had to force myself to stop rushing through it so it would last a smidge longer.
I love a new year. I love the clean slate, the fresh start and the opportunity to take on the world once again. I am working on some goals for the year and a few things I would like to do, nothing life changing just some fun things I would like to accomplish. I am busy dividing them into personal, professional and family ... so when I am done I will share. #workinprogress
In the mean time we have five more days before the break ends and the hustle and bustle of the year sets in. It is threatening to get super cold in Atlanta and I will be wearing my whole closet at once, or at least all of the coziest of pieces like this sweater that I have worn on repeat since purchasing it. When my slippers broke my heart and separated from the sole a few weeks ago I immediately tried to replace them and found nothing as fabulous at my favorite shop. I stumbled upon these slippers while gathering some things for our house and after trying them on was stunned at the price. They are adorable, super comfortable and incredibly warm. One of my favorite accidental purchases for sure!
