Spring Shopping 101

The weather is starting to change ... I can feel it.  I think Old Man Winter might actually be packing his bags and heading home. Can I get an Amen ... that was a cold and hard winter and I live in the deep south, I can not imagine how the people in the north feel.  I have so many friends still getting so much snow, it is crazy!!  I am ready for spring, for blooms galore and lunches alfresco with white jeans and sandals with a light jacket.  I am ready for windows open and car rides without the heated seat.  Bring on the warm please ... and thank you! 🌞

I love that spring clothes pop into the shops before the weather gets warm, it gets me mentally ready to shed the endless scarves + leggings + warm slippers and to think about swapping them for short sleeves + cute dresses + pink toes for sandal weather. And any time I can carry a straw bag with a scarf I might be giddy.  Isn't the bag above amazing?

I am heading out of town this weekend for the Thomasville Antique show and I am beyond excited!!  I have wanted to go to Thomasville for quite some time and this will be a weekend full of adventure, exploring, antiques, good food and sweet friends.  I can't wait.  Since the weather will be fabulous ... high 80 low 60s, I decided to add a few tops to the rotation for some walking and antiquing.  Thomasville is a good southern town where they dress for dinner (my favorite) and I am up for the occasion with a few purchases and styling of what I already have.

From my days in retail I call this season that we are in transitional.  When I worked for The Gap in college the after winter roll out was filled with navy and white with lots of stripes, it's a perfect combination for this weather.  It is easy to pop on a cute jacket or add a large scarf and still be stylish yet appropriately warm when need be. Oh, and I just bought this top and this top and with all the coupon codes right now my total was $60 which is the current price of just one of the pieces.  BAM!  I love it when that happens!

I have four outfits that I put together for the weekend once again using my trusty rolling rack.  I love the rolling rack when I pack, it makes things so easy when pulling pieces from my closet.  I first pulled my favorite white jeans, this amazing top and then went from there.  My new favorite combination is a striped top, white jeans and fun loafers.  Add in a vintage scarf with lots of color and I am one happy girl!

I have linked all the items below I am taking (and a few I simply fell in love with) and some of them are on sale, which is always a great thing.   My vintage scarves are not linked but to shop some amazing scarves try this link.  Etsy is a great source for finding Hermes scarves for a great price.

Have you ever been to Thomasville?  Tell me everything I need to see and do.  We are so excited ... stay tuned for some serious Instastory activity!!

Happy Thursday!
