Croquet Brunch

As I shared here Lance and I had the best time in Cashiers.  The Showhouse was incredible and the events and weekend festivities were so much fun.  One of the highlights for me was Sunday's Croquet Brunch.  I have been playing croquet since I was a small child and I love the opportunity to play.  Playing in white while enjoying mimosas + incredible food was truly fabulous.  I felt like I was in the midst of something spectacular while I was there and the truth is, I was.

We arrived just before noon to a beautiful event, the music was playing, there were live painting sessions happening, and the sun was cloud free and stunning.  We had a little issue (read ginormous) arriving so to be very honest I needed to calm my shaking hands and nerves so I immediately headed for a mimosa.  After a few minutes (and sips) I was feeling like me again and ready to enjoy every second of the day.  Everywhere I looked people were donning their best whites and it was a beautiful scene.

After taking in every thing I sat down to brunch with my sweet friend Lee Cox, Pierce Persons, and the darling girl of The Potted Boxwood.  The food was so good, I had quite a few of the peach bruschetta and just as many watermelon feta skewers.

Dressing in all white was so fabulous, I actually loved it so much I did it again on Monday and will probably make an appearance in all white sometime this weekend.  It feels so fresh and clean!  My dress and earrings came from my darling friends at Willow Park Boutique.  They were so kind to help me choose something on Thursday.  I knew I wanted something long and they were the perfect little shop to call!  I styled it with bracelets from Hazen & Co. and one of my favorite wicker bags.  Since I was wearing all white I added one of my favorite vintage scarves, a pink Burberry.

I don't know how else to share that the weekend was amazing, other than words and photos.  I wish this post came with the music playing in the background and the birds chirping, and the stunning sunshine.  It was truly just magical and I am still replaying all of the moments in my head.

Have the most amazing Thursday!
