Wednesday With Us
Wow, Monday slid into Wednesday and I am spending the day with a bit of a to do list and dodging the crazy chilly and wet weather. It goes from raining to not to raining again. I think it is a sweater, legging, Tretorn day, but I think I am more than ok with that. It has been a hard two days as we lost our pup on Monday. I can't believe this is the first time in 15 years he isn't right beside me following me everywhere I go. Even in the last few months when I could see he was fading he refused to not follow me everywhere and I tried to sit as much as I could since I knew he was so tired. To say he was a trooper is quite the understatement.
That little pup was everything to me and I am super sad without him. But ... I also know I have to do the things and make the days the best they can be. The kids are very in tune to what I think and feel and I need to show them that life comes and it goes and we have to be strong no matter what we are dealt. At the same time I am offering myself some grace this week as it is super hard. Lots of down time, lots of coffee, and all the giggles I can get. It really does help. 💓
In the middle of trying to catch up a bit I am also adding some fall touches to the house. Since it is chilly and a bit wet it makes me want to nest. I added some plaid throws to the porch and I did grab some pumpkins for a few bowls in the house. I have two planters at the front door and one window box I still have to fluff so I have been searching Pinterest for some inspiration. There are so many good ideas. I am thinking a mixture of green and maybe some cabbages and a bit of orange, it could be totally different when I get to the nursery. I love the idea of mums, but I have no gift to keeping them from dying on day 3. So ... not going to be happening here. I have been gathering inspiration on this board, hopefully it will inspire you as well. 🎃
Happy Wednesday you all ... thank you so much for the unending messages, they mean the world to us!
