12 Happies du Jour

Happy Tuesday ... I hope your week is going well.  I was feeling so on top of my week yesterday and then last night sort of hit a wall.  I headed to bed early and drank some tea and I am hoping that feeling is now gone and I am back to my A game.  These sunnies have been so fun to wear recently ... aren't they just so cute? They would be so fun to give to your mom for Mother's Day!  🕶

I have such fun things to chat about today, the first has to be the new Royal baby!!  I was so excited to see the announcement of the birth of Harry & Meghan's baby.  Poor thing, that baby was late and I am sure she was so ready to give birth.  All of my babies came early (1 day, 1 week and 2 weeks!), but I know it must be so hard waiting past your due date.  How precious they have a baby boy ... although I was sure it was a girl!!  His comments publicly were so precious ... and you can clearly see his joy.  So exciting for them! 💙

Do any of you know the name of the tree above?  I snapped a photo of it last week and think it is so pretty but have no idea what it is called!

I have told you before, but I will say it many times ... I wear so many August Morgan dresses!  I wore two while I was out of town last week and so many of you commented on this one.  Don't you just love the name? Kate creates the most incredible pieces and they are so comfortable to wear and look so amazing on.  I just received a box of two more of them yesterday and I can't wait to show them off.

With the dress above I wore these shoes.  I love that they are perfect for summer and so comfy ... we walked quite a bit on Wednesday and they were no issue at all.

I also packed this pair of shoes ... these espadrilles and these heels.  I wore these tennis shoes on the ride there and on the ride home.  They are perfect for traveling!!

We stopped into the Lake Pajamas store while in Charleston and loved it.  It is such a pretty store and to be able to see all the options was so fabulous.  I grabbed a few pairs for the Hubs to give me for Mother's Day (he asks if I will manage gifts) and I can't wait to be able to wear them this Sunday.  Lake makes the best pajamas I have ever worn and I am so excited to be able to wear them even more often then I do now.  I snagged this heart set + this gown.  My friend Caroline has this gown and it is next on my list.  It was perfect to pull on while she was getting ready.  Honestly, I love them all.

This is hands down my new favorite dress ... but it is sold out yet again. The white option is a must have for so many things.  It is perfect to wear with wedges to dinner or to a summer party but also perfect for over a swim suit or with tennis shoes or slides and a hat for brunch.  I am telling you, get this dress while you can!!

I love to wear cute jean shorts in the summer and my favorite pair I purchased last year.  I found this pair which is basically the same pair this year and I may need these as well. They are perfect for swim meets, weekends and lazy days!  Oh, so comfy!!

I feel like I mastered something huge yesterday.  Huge!!  I shopped at Ikea, found every single thing I needed and made it out without getting lost (or running into anyone with the cart) in record time. I will make a list of all my favorite things to grab at Ikea next week.  I think it can be a very overwhelming place for me and I am sure I am not the only one.  They have some amazing things you can find if you know what to look for in all the things!

The middle school dance is officially crossed off the list.  We purchased her dress at Amazon, and actually purchased five of them to decide between for a number of events.  She doesn't like trying on a million things in the stores and shopping with a teenager can be so hard.  I was thrilled to be able to have so many delivered to the house and we could try them on at home and then send back what we didn't need.  She kept three of them, one for the sports banquet this week + one for graduation chapel next Monday.  Amazon for the win, yet again.  Here is my updated list of things I love, including some darling dresses for teens!

She wore this jumpsuit last weekend to her small group graduation lunch.  It is so cute on her!! I love it with a sweater (for 8th grade photos) + a jean jacket (for dinner!).

Now if I can just make it through all the lasts of middle school without ugly crying at every event.  Oh, my baby is growing up way too fast!! 😢
