Bar Cart Series ... No. 5 Teggy French

Don't you just love Friday?  The weekend is here and the possibilities for adventure are simply endless.   We are planning dinner alfresco on Saturday evening and lots of projects along the way.  I am taking advantage of every second sans Littles and tackling my massive to do list.  #eek

When I planned a bar cart series I knew it wouldn't be complete without including Teggy French. How do you compile a list of creatives and not include Alex?  Her style truly speaks to me. Every single thing she posts makes me swoon.

I am truly enamored by all things Teggy French.  Her style, her Instagram, her blog, her grace and of course, her closet. I love the nod to the past I see in every single outfit she styles.  A self described "modern day C.Z. Guest"  Alex's style is a definite nod to the past.  A time when people dressed for dinner and attended events with minks and full length gloves. I was thrilled when she agreed to this feature and completely in awe of the darling photos she sent me for the post.  I can just imagine having cocktails with Alex and dressing , with gloves of course, for the event.

Her drink of choice is the Hot 'n Dirty ... #wowza and sounds absolutely amazing to me.  She suggests serving in a martini glass with a darling vintage cocktail napkin to dress it up even further.

Hot 'n Dirty
3 shots vodka (Alex prefers Tito's)
1 shot olive juice
3 blue cheese stuffed olives
3 splashes of Sriracha

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and strain into a martini glass.

Chin Chin!!

And, of course, my favorite thing about this series is getting to know these incredible taste makers. What better way to do so then to pour a drink and sit down over cocktail hour and just chat ...

Let's talk about Alex ... tell me anything about your childhood that placed you right where you are today?

You know how people say that people are born who they are?  Well, that definitely plays true for me! When I was 5 years old I would get into trouble for going through people's closets.  I just wanted to put outfits together and could never understand why this made people's mother so upset.  :)

I am madly in love with your style ... where does your inspiration come from?

Thank you so much!  My inspiration comes from all things vintage (fashion, books, movies, decor) but especially from Palm Beach socialites of the 1960s.

What is it like to work with such incredible designers?

I am 100% living my dream.  The fact that these designers entrust me to represent their beautiful designs in an honor that I am so grateful for!

What advice would you give to someone wanting to be a fashion blogger?

Go for it!  There are lots of fashion blogs out there, but there's only one you, therefore it will be different than the rest.  Think about what you want to express and stick to it - consistency is the key.

Favorite photo shoot.

That would have to be when I went to Palm Beach to shoot with one of my favorite designers, Jules Reid.  We had SO much fun in our favorite place, styling her fabulous clothing, staying at the Colony Hotel and searching for the best vintage finds in Palm Beach (all found at Groovy Palm Beach, of course).

Favorite color.

Pink!

Five fashion must haves.

Vintage Pucci, Vintage Lilly, Turbans, Teggy French x Victory Optical sunglasses and anything Jules Reid.

Anything you would never wear?

A sweatsuit.  Why those things were invented is beyond me.

Favorite travel destination.

Palm Beach!!  I live there in my daydreams.

Cone & Coleman at The Breakers

What would you describe as your perfect day?

My perfect day would consist of coffee, a blowout, vintage shopping, cocktails with my besties and dinner with my husband ... preferably all taking place in Palm Beach or Beverly Hills.  Oh, and there should be french fries involved!

Alex is incredibly kind and graceful and she was so fun to get to know better.  I am sure we would make fabulous neighbors.  I can style our cocktail hours and she can style me. Oh, and we can live in Palm Beach in pastel colored salt box houses.  I think the plan is perfect, quite possibly divine.

Happy Friday lovies ...
