ReplyDeleteThanks for these ideas, I'm compiling my summer reading list today and will add a few of these :)
Do you like mystery novels {detectives}?? If so, anything by Robert Parker is a fun read. His novels are exciting right out of the gate! Dixie Cash's novels are hilarious. I mean laughing out loud hilarious. Another book that I really enjoyed was "Can You Keep a Secret"? Very funny, too. Great plane/beach reads! xoxo
ReplyDelete"Eden Close" by Anita Shreve is easily in my top 5 books of all time. Can't beat Pat Conroy and Anne Rivers Siddons (her older stuff) for wonderful characters. Two of my favorite authors are Jodi Picoult and Jacquelyn Mitchard, the first ever author of Oprah's book club. Finally, another thing I started doing years ago is reading at least one biography / autobiography each summer. (not sure why - I'm crazy..haha). They now have become my favorite genre - it's AMAZING to read about the lives of the rich, famous, business people, athletes, etc. I've just purchased Rob Lowe's new book after reading rave reviews. Happy reading! *swoon*
