I say it quite often. I am one blessed girl!
I meet amazing people, have the most fabulous friends and do some incredible things!! As I was cleaning out my Iphone photos recently I realized I had photos of some fabulous things I so wanted to share!
In January I had the pleasure of meeting the incredibly talented Emily McCarthy! Since then we have become precious friends! She was in town for another event and took the time to lunch and tour the ASO Showhouse with me! She is the kindest, most amazing woman! And just how gorgeous is she?? I adore her more than words and feel incredibly blessed to call her a dear friend!
ps ... she has the most amazing website and you need to order everything she sells ... STAT!!!
Speaking of the ASO Showhouse, during the gala I attended with the Parker Kennedy boys I was introduced to Brain Patrick Flynn. I was immediately drawn in by his quick wit. I mean he is FUNNY!!!
The next day I followed him and others I had met on Instagram.
He immediately followed me back. Yep, super cool!
A couple of weeks ago when I commented on one of his posts he immediately commented back and mentioned my blog. Yep ... WAY COOL!! I have since that day googled his blog and read every single entry. It was just what I expected ... just as quick witted and funny as he was in person.
Remember when I traveled with Parker Kennedy to Charlotte a few weeks ago for a photo shoot? This is just one of the many shots styled and taken that weekend. That house is beyond gorge and Lance and David have done such an amazing job with the design work. The client loves color and its always so much fun to visit the house. This time we were shooting the veranda, pool area and the girls' bedrooms.
Check out that shot through the gate? I mean ... to die for!!!
Another shot of the veranda. The mirror reflects the pool. That coral piece is nothing short of DIVINE!!!! I can promise you that this house will be end up in a high end national magazine. It's that good ... actually beyond that good. Lance and David have outdone themselves with this property!!!
And on the subject of photo shoots ...
These pictures and others were taken for Minted at the Parker Kennedy Living boys' house. I love helping out on photo shoots. I have learned so much about how things are styled and staged for pictures. It's sooo much fun!!! The pictures will be making an appearance very soon via Minted.
And all of the pictures shot for Parker Kennedy Living were shot by the incredibly talented Christina Wedge. She is soooo funny and so much fun to be with on set. And she may or may not have blackmail photos of me that she took whilst I was "working". To say they are unflattering is an understatement!
Yes, this is a shot of her working ... but all the pictures I have of her are just like this. She is one of the many speakers at the upcoming Haven Conference. I will be attending her session for sure!!! She is one incredible interiors photographer so anything she has to teach I am thrilled to learn!!
And since everything I am posting today seems to be Parker Kennedy related ... here is another fun day!
Sunday the boys and I headed to the Atlanta's mart to visit the Lifeguard Press booth. Our intent was to shop the Lilly Pulitzer, Kate Spade and Jonathan Adler previous season samples and to see our precious friend Natalie Chang. She is the powerhouse behind the show stopping Lifeguard Press booths. The booth was still in progress but was amazing already. I love her creativity and her brilliance in putting these huge spaces together. And of course I love seeing all of the new Kate Spade paper items. I am a HUGE Kate fan. HUGE I tell you!!!
Umm ... we sort of bought a ton. Ok, I bought a lot and they bought the rest. And by the rest I mean literally every single sample I didn't score! It was sooo much fun to pack them up and load them on to this pallet to bring them all home.
And seriously ... how adorable is David?? This was us trying our darnedest to get a freight elevator and get our amazing loot home!!! I have soooo many fun items!! It's like Christmas over here with all my new goodies!
Emilie, Lance, me and Julianne
And last ... but certainly not least ... last night Lance and I had dinner with Emilie of Shells and Chinoiserie and Julianne of Taylor Burke Home. I met Emilie this April when we both signed up as linking partners of the One Room Challenge. This is what I looove about blogging. I have met some precious friends that are so dear to my heart. Emilie is one of them!!! We literally could not wait to see one another!!! She is so stinking cute and absolutely hi-larious!!!! I had the most fun Em and can not wait to see you again! I have my calendar ready for us to set the date! xo
And if you aren't familiar with Taylor Burke Home ... check them out. Julianne is amazing. I could have listen to her talk of her years as an expat for hours. She has lived so many amazing places and learned so many wonderful things. I can't wait to purchase my first TBH piece!! Their furniture is STUNNING!!!
Thanks for letting me share!
I am off to finish packing for Haven Conference ... wow I am still in shock that I am going! I am sure there will be a photo flurry on IG and tons of stories when I get home!
xo,
MPM
You have been busy girl! Enjoy the conference.
