I am quite possibly in shock that on this day at 12:20 pm thirteen years ago we were blessed with a tiny baby girl. She was so much smaller than her brothers, quite possibly the size of a large Kleenex box when she was all swaddled. The spitting image of her Daddy and her oldest brother she entered this world with a bang. So tiny, yet so mighty and truly a sweet baby.
Fast forward thirteen years and our girl is truly my favorite girl on the planet. She is strong and fierce. She will stand up to anyone who she feels is hurting another. She is a helper, loyal, kind, funny and truly one of the bravest people I know.
I can recall a time when she was in second grade coming home from school on the bus with her brother. She got off the bus all worked up that someone in the back had been bullying her brother. She stood up in her seat and told the boy that was her brother and he would immediately stop or he would deal with her. I am not sure the boy ever rode the bus again.
A friend to so many she truly fiercely loves her people. It makes me so happy to see her surrounded by so many sweet girls from our neighborhood, church and school. So many of them I consider my own. There isn't a week that goes by that a group of girls isn't in our home giggling and cooking up some new scheme. I couldn't love it more.
I don't what our family would be without our bookend, our girl. She truly brings so much life to our family. There is never a day without loud music and her voice singing coming from the other end of the hall. Our slime making machine, she is always up for adventure.
Happy birthday to my girl, my hero, my precious Little Bit!
