SEC Football hits the ground running this week, and I am more than ready to watch some college football games. I will admit I love college football but do not care for professional football. I think it is an entirely different dynamic for me and just doesn't feel the same at all. As you may know, I attended UCF but spent most weekends in Gainesville at UF as one of my college roommates was dating someone there, and at the time, UCF didn't have a football team. My dad attended UF, his parents taught there, and I grew up rooting for the Gators. Many years later, nothing has changed; I bleed orange and blue. 🧡💙
Since we aren't attending games like we once did, tailgating is different for us now. We dress the part, hang our team flag outside, and plan to sit and watch the game. I am all about an excellent gameday outfit, and I feel that options have grown in the last year or two. I recall searching for royal and orange pieces and accessories, but the market is now filled with specific pieces you can wear and show your spirit. My new favorite piece is my new Swells of Splendor gameday scarf. Since it arrived, I have worn it on my neck, tied it as a headband, and tied it to my purse. It is the best scarf, as all Wells' scarves are, and the orange and blue pattern is truly a perfect add-on for game days. She has two different sizes of her stunning silk scarves, and the one I own is the smaller of the two.
