Things of Note ...

Happy Monday!  What a weekend.  Mine included some laundry, some family time, some bestie time, a fun dinner out on Friday ... and the SEC game of the year on Saturday night. Nathan is traveling this week so I have some plans to attack a project or two this week.  I love a project when he is gone, it gets me busy all day long and I don't miss him quite so much.

This is always one of my favorite blog posts to write, and today I have so many fun things to share.

First, these cute mugs from Etsy. I have a darling Saturday mug that I use every weekend, and I have always wanted to create days-of-the-week coffee cups. It would be so fun to pull out a weekday cup and easily remember what day it is. Does anyone else ever think it's a different day? Is it just me? I think these are really cute, and each has an inspirational saying on the back.

I decided this year to work on a capsule for fall and use a ton of items I own with some new pieces to wear repeatedly all season.  And, if truth be told, into winter as well since most of ours is mild.  I made a list of things I wanted to add to my closet and slowly ticked them off.   I aimed to find each of these pieces; a barn jacket, Ugg slippers I liked, a sweater vest, leather ballet flats, a collared V-neck sweater, a new jean style, Mary Janes, and a fun fall purse. So far, just a few weeks in, I have found almost everything I wanted on sale.  I linked all of my finds for you in case you also want some great fall basics.

I am heading to Maine in two weeks. Hence the shopping and I can not wait. I love New England and do not spend enough time exploring it. I have been to Maine twice, both to Kennebunkport, and I loved it.  Once, I was with my grandparents; another time, I was with my mother and grandmother. Both times, I was heading to Canada to visit family.  It has been so long, and I can't tell you how excited I am to have a lobster roll. I plan to eat my weight in them while I am there.  I am staying at The Claremont with friends, and our agenda will be the absolute best.  I don't know how else to describe it.

I added a stunning tortoise charger when I shared this blog post last week. They are now on clearance, and I would snag them quickly. I have a similar set, and I use it all the time.

I was digging in the blog archives looking for a specific post and found this one. If you ever wanted to know more about me, this is a great deep dive. I wrote this list in 2016, and all of them are still current, except our sweet Jack Russells, who passed on in 2017 and 2020.

If you have yet to watch Nobody Wants This on Netflix, you must. It is darling, so funny, and just a beautiful Romcom. I loved it and intended to watch two episodes each night, but I couldn't stop and ended up watching it in one sitting. It is just so cute

I am on the hunt for a vintage Gucci purse.  Something older with the red and green details, and even better, with bamboo handles.  I expect this hunt to take a while, maybe longer, as I know what I want.  I check eBay and The Real Real regularly to see what pops up, and although I see a lot I like, nothing I love as of yet.  If you didn't know, eBay is an excellent resource for vintage bags, as they are checked and rechecked for authenticity.  I always check reviews of sellers before I purchase from them and so far I have been pleased each and every time.  I will keep you posted, but as I said, I expect this hunt to take a bit.

I hope your week is off to a great start ... I pray for those affected by Hurricane Helene.  The news is heartbreaking and so hard to watch, but the victims are heavy on my heart. 💗
