Ave Home

My first introduction to AVE Home was during the Design Bloggers Conference last month.  I immediately spotted their incredible logo and then my heart almost stopped when I saw their furniture.  Ave Home, based in New Orleans, is a specialty furniture company producing high end reproductions of historical pieces with incredible attention to the details that made the pieces famous. Including pieces from timeless periods like Mid-Century Modern, Swedish Gustavian, Hollywood Regency and French Rococo.  I literally stopped walking to take in all they had to offer.

AVE Collections are a "mix of occasional, dining and living room furniture in a range of mediums". Founder Lisa Rickert says "I want to bring approachable elegance to every piece we create.  AVE Collections offer an element of elevation and sophistication.  We believe that stylistic range is key". I think she hit her goal out of the park.  As you view each collection you can see her vision come to life.

The Carlyle Console was the first piece I saw and it did not disappoint.  Its great size and presence can not be ignored.  The Carlyle collection is inspired by the Hollywood Regency style of the 1920's to 1050's when glamour was a way of life.  With lots of ebony wood, polished brass and mirrored accents, these pieces are ready to add glamour and sophistication to your home. The console above is quite stunning and I can see this in so many different places.  How amazing would it be as a server for the dining room or as a grand piece in the entry hall?  I also see it behind a grand sofa in the living room with incredible lamps and a large blue and white bowl filled with orchids.  It is quite the impressive piece.

Ave Home has debuted five collection, each one showcasing pieces from a different timeless style. The Anders collection showcases mid-century modern pieces with a nod to the design movement of the mid 20th century.  The sexy pieces are made in rich mahogany and espresso finishes and include black leather seats and historical details such as veneer sliding doors, Carrara marble tops and tapered legs.  The Anders Coffee Table is so fabulous and masculine, yet would be amazing in any living room.  It might be the best first mid-century modern piece to add to our home.

The Aria collection is compiled of pieces with a strong connection to Swedish Gustavian.  A style brought to Sweden by the future king after a long stay at Versailles, these pieces are known for their neoclassical style and the simplicity of their designs. The unique patina of the aged painted light wood pieces are so distinct and were the perfect choice to distract the people from their long, hard winters. My favorite piece from the Aria collection is the Two Drawer Dresser.  I can just picture two of these in our master bedroom on each side of the bed.  I am obsessed with the pale blue color and those laurel wreaths. Wouldn't they be amazing?

The Regent collection includes pieces inspired by the French Rococo style of Louis XV.  With elegant seating and case goods, these pieces include intricate carvings and gold leaf.  If you are searching for pieces with French inspiration this is the perfect collection for you.  I am in love with each of the pieces but the Regent Trumeau Mirror is just everything for me.  I am madly in love with the carving and bluish grey color.  The gold leaf is the icing on the cake.  This piece would be incredible in a dining room over a drop dead gorgeous server and it would definitely make your guests stop and take notice in the foyer.  And can we talk about the settee above.  Dear lord, help me!!

I have compiled my favorite pieces from AVE Home.  Each one is more amazing than the last, don't you think?  The Carlyle Secretary (#1 above) make the most incredible bar ... and then closes up to be a secretary.  I love the glam element of using it as both.

I have one piece on its way to me to use in upcoming project.  I can't wait to get it home and style it perfectly.  Although I am pretty sure the piece in the room will add style on its own.  You will love the amazing people at AVE Home.  I might have been drawn in by their amazing branding, but I stayed for the fabulous furniture and the incredible people.  Check them out, no thank you required.
