Happy Tuesday! I hope you loved your weekend as much as we did ... honestly the family time was good I never wanted it to end. Lazy mornings, endless card games + games of pool, alternating between the pool and the lake repeatedly, grilled dinners and so much laughter, I am not sure I could have planned it better!
Have I mentioned I love my sweet family?
I accidentally left my laptop behind and after realizing I would be completely unplugged Friday morning with my coffee I then realized what a gift it would be. Although I had planned to use the early mornings to work I instead swapped it out for sleeping in which I hardly ever do. It is hard to get some serious time with all of us now that the oldest is in college and has his own place and I got the chance to soak it all in uninterrupted. He brought along one of his oldest friends and they were so much fun just hanging and playing games with the rest of the gang. I love that my children as so good as choosing their precious friends, we honestly feel like they are family. A lot of times it was boy time (playing pool, movies + working out) and girl time (jet skis + tubing + Survivor binging) and we truly enjoyed all of it.
But what is not to love when you have no place to be, no make up, air dried hair and the only decision you have to make is whether eating watermelon all day every day is a bad thing? I made the most amazing egg salad I get to share with you this week and we had a super yummy dip that a friend shared with us that I can't wait to share as well. Honestly we need a whole summer food post, don't you think?
Most of all the lake and the lake house were perfect. The weather was incredible ... and so much better than the forecast of storms every single day. We were blessed to be able to spend five days with these views and most of all super blessed to have the house to begin our summer. We love you with our whole hearts Beth ... thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
I will miss these sunsets ... and I am already ready for our next visit in just a number of weeks!

I did squeeze in some shopping on my phone to snag some fun things during the amazing sales ... can you blame me? There are some darling things out there ... I have added a few below just in case you are as obsessed with red, white and blue as I am at the moment!
