Our Den For Christmas

Today is one of my favorite days on the blog in December ... the beginning of the home tours for me.  I love partnering with other bloggers to share our favorite parts of our home all decorated.  I always feel like I am inviting you over for coffee or cocktails and opening up my fun spaces for you.  Today I have partnered with 11 Magnolia Lane and a slew of incredible blogs to share our homes.  If you are new to me, thank you for coming ... and if you are a seasoned reader ... welcome back for Christmas!!

I think my den is the hub of our home and it is my favorite place to decorate for Christmas.  Since our entire room centers around our fireplace it is always so cozy this time of year with the fire roaring, the twinkle lights shining, and all of our decorations collected over time shining in the spotlight of the season.  Our biggest tree is housed in the den and it is always one of my favorite things to work on as a family each year.  I am responsible for getting it up, making sure it is lit properly, adding the topper and the "base" ornaments and then we all unwrap the family ornaments and laugh and chat while they are hung.  Since December can be such a time of running around it is my own little Hallmark Christmas movie moment ... and I could not love it more.

This year I used all of our pink, green, blue and chinoiserie pieces and created a tree that felt like our vintage Christmas ones I place out each year.  Our family ornaments have been hung since these photos and I also have plans to add some tinsel, but I think the tree may be my favorite so far.  I think I now say that for everything we are doing, and I am totally on board for it.

Merry Christmas from our den ...

I just think it is truly so magical this year.  I even ordered some extra Alexa Echo to make sure the Christmas music is playing all day long.  It just feels so perfect.  Can I just leave it all up until next year?  Is that a thing?

I think this wreath may be one of my very favorite things in my den this year, or even in our whole home.  A week or so after we came home from the hospital my friend Lance called to tell me he was coming over on a Friday to see us.  We timed it at the end of the day thinking it would be amazing to sit with him on the porch while he was here.  My parents were in town and we were all thrilled to start the weekend with a fun visit.  When he came he brought us an amazing happy hour spread and gifted me the wreath hanging above as a gift from a precious reader.  I still can't wrap my mind around it ... but one of my darling followers asked him to create an all pink vintage wreath for us.  And as you can see he did.  What you can't see are all the special details inside ... things that mean something to us, to our families, it is so very special.  This may stay up for ever, and I am one hundred percent on board for it.  🎄💗

Thank you Diane for the lovely and touching gift ... and thank you Lance for creating it for us and adding so many touching and personal touches.  It is truly a treasure!  (PS ... he creates these amazing wreaths for sale if you are interested ... check it out here!)
