I mentioned adding a fun cocktail to your Valentines celebrating in this post, but the drink I found was so delicious and fun I think it deserves a post all on its own. I found the recipe for Love Potion while reading an article on fabulous Valentines cocktails in Town & Country and honestly what first drew me in was the pink color. I mean, just being honest with you. But then while reading the ingredients and realizing I only need limes completely sealed the deal for me. This is such an easy to make cocktail and its so yummy + its pink which makes it a must have in your cocktail playbook. You will love it, pinky swear.
This drink is really easy to make and I used truly what I had on hand, with the exception of having to run out and grab limes. I did not have a bottle of my favorite pink wine but I did have their cider and I used it and loved it. I can't wait to try it as it was meant to be served, but I am telling you that its delicious either way.
To make the drink ...
Ingredients:
3 oz gin
1 oz lime juice
1 oz elderflower liquor
6 oz rosé champagne
Instructions:
In a cocktail shaker, combine the following: gin, elderflower liquor, and lime juice. Add ice and shake for 10 seconds. Strain cocktail mixture onto the ice. Top with rose champagne and enjoy.
From HelloFresh
A while back I read that using a cocktail shaker truly helps blend flavors together and is why the drinks you order out always taste better than the ones you pour and drink at home. Since that time I have been mixing all of my drinks in a cocktail shaker and the taste difference is truly noticeable. I would recommend using one for all of your drinks, even when you are just mixing a gin + tonic or something similar. It makes every drink taste so much better.
Cheers to all the love potion ... Happy Monday! 💝
Love the cocktail and your dress! Source on the dress? Much love!
