July 4th Table

What the heck happened to the rest of June ... I feel like it was crawling along for a bit and then BAM it is now July??  What??  I am watching the weather closely to see what the forecast looks like for this weekend, it seems that every afternoon this week we have had a thunderstorm.  Luckily our plans are simple for this weekend (isn't that the story for every weekend now?), so we can adjust ... but I am still wanting to dress our outdoor table for the holiday.

I popped into Waiting On Martha a week or so ago and grabbed some fun items to use on our table along with a number of flags from Home Depot to add to the fern I placed in the center.  I am going for a simple table that will make a big statement, and I am really excited.  I love using these darling paper runners ... they are so good on their own and also layered over a fun tablecloth.  Since I am running with a red, white and blue theme (of course), I wanted to add in some patterns, some light blue and lots of fresh flowers. So far I have pulled the runner I bought plus these darling placemats, our everyday Blue Willow plates, and I am planning on using layering them on this beautiful tablecloth.  I purchased the matching placemats many months ago and then snagged the tablecloth this week.  I love the pattern and have plans to set an all white table on it one day soon.  I think it would be so fabulous

Our menu is simple (post coming tomorrow) ... and I think the simple food with the pretty table will put me in the best mood and keep me from thinking of all the things we have cancelled.  We always have friends over for the 4th for a big BBQ and then go together to watch the fireworks.  It is one of my favorite times of our summer, my husband always goes all out. This year will be different but I intend to make it special nonetheless. 💗💙

I have linked all the items I snagged along with some of my favorite items that would be so fabulous together.  Whether you are having family over or its just a few of you I suggest setting a full table and truly making it feel special.
