Holiday Menu



Can you tell I am planning to celebrate the heck out of this holiday this weekend?  Yep, all in for all the extras and over the top-ness.  Just prepare yourself ... I am here for it all. This morning I am hanging bunting on the porch and I have already placed way too many flags in the pots, on the front door and in the planters ... I am feeling 1000% patriotic and I love it. If you are like me and love to place flags in any and all things ... head to Home Depot and stock up on all the sizes.  



So this weekend ... what will I be serving?  I am so glad you asked ... (yes, I realize you didn't but I am still sharing).  😂 If you are anything like me you are always looking for some fun ideas and great things to make and try and I am here to help you with that menu.  We aren't having anything fancy and yet we will still be eating so well.  Lawyer is such a good cook and I am in charge of all the sides ... so it will be delish.  I am also only making things I have made before so I know they will be super yummy!

Saturday morning ... I am making homemade blueberry muffins and making a yogurt bar.  I love doing these ... you just put the yogurt into a bowl and then use smaller bowls for the sides.  I will put out granola, berries, bananas to slice, honey, and unsweetened coconut.  I grabbed Greek yogurt for the protein.  Lawyer will add scrambled eggs to his plate for extra protein.  Lunch is a charcuterie board will lots of yummy inclusions.  I am including cheese, fruit, salami, GF crackers, nuts and hummus.  I am dying now thinking of it ... I think I am hungry



Late lunch, early dinner we will eat a full meal ... and I am watching the weather to see how it will hold up because I really want to eat outside.  Here is our menu ... simple but de-lish!!

Sundried Tomato Burgers on Toasted Onion Rolls
(add lime zest and tomatoes in oil to the meat, then add spinach leaves 
+ jalapeno, basil + lime juice to the mayo)
Grilled Hotdogs on Brioche Buns
Macaroni Salad (this recipe)
Red Skinned Potato Salad (this recipe)
Watermelon + Feta Salad (this recipe, I am adding blueberries)
Red Velvet Cake from Piece Of Cake
Homemade vanilla icecream

Now I know I am hungry because this non red meat girl is thinking that burger sounds so good.  😂If you make anything I suggested send me an email and share ... there are all such good items!  We will eat the left over sides with grilled flank steak on Sunday, one of Lawyer's specialties.  I always make extra sides since red meat isn't something I eat.

  1. I am a non-meat girl (I just don't love it - even as a little girl) but I do crave a slammin' burger at times. Somtimes, it's just what you want...and your whole menu sounds delicious! Have fun!
