It occurred to me this morning while having brunch with two friends that this is the first fall in four years that I am just "being". Sitting outside this morning by the fire pit with my yummy Oat Milk Lavender Latte and just enjoying the weather and all the leaves was magical. I do not know a time in the last four years where I have really had nothing to manage health wise for someone in our family ... and with Maggie's ankle healing we are just enjoying the fall. The trees are prettier than they have been in years, the temperatures are perfect, the sky is blue.
And let me tell you ... it feels really good.
Sweater (old) + jeans + headband + bag + shoes (Stubbs + Wooten)
Last night we had our end of year volleyball banquet and I felt all the feels. I am still so sad the season is over, I love cheering on those darling girls. They had a rough season, but the fact that they achieved so much with all of the obstacles they faced was a huge accomplishment. I was thinking last week that my girl really only got to play about two and a half weeks of the season (that ankle!) which was really hard for her, and for us to watch her walk the path. She never gave up the fight to heal and get back to the courts, when honestly she could have been done emotionally. She taught me so much about resilience, strength, hope, and hard work. I am beyond proud of her, she was given quite a hard journey and she handled it like a true champ. She is my hero, and may she always know that.
I have some fun things to share with you today, all of which are absolutely amazing.
First up, Hill House Home is having their annual sale. You should definitely check it out, some of their older patterns are on sale for up to 50% off. I snagged one piece, but I could have easily snagged more. I really thought about grabbing a white Nap Dress, but I decided to hold off, I just don't know that I would wear it other than in the summer. Ok, now that I am typing it out, maybe I will grab it. The price was really good.
This morning I wore an older plaid Nap Dress with this sweater + these flats. I was worn, cozy, and felt cute, so that is a major win, win. I grabbed both the blue sweater and the red one last week and have worn both now in a matter of days. I highly recommend. Oh, and I wore these darling earrings.
Second, my friend Nicole snagged these for me today as a happy. Aren't they so very cute? I am really excited to try them out the first week of December. I love the patterns, so prepare to see them in all the Christmas decor very soon. She shops the in town Target, which carries things ours does not have. I popped by mine this afternoon thinking I could find a fun set for now, but did not find any of them. I did, however, find a fun set. Stay tuned to see me with these stickers, aren't they cute?
I bought some items from a new to me small business last night. My friend Libbie shared on Instagram last night ... and I was hooked. Make sure you check out Match Daddy, I found the most darling and cheeky stocking stuffers for my people. I snagged a few key chains and a pack of four match sets. I love cheeky items and I think these are so very fun. You will love Match Daddy ... how do you decide what to get? You don't ... so get a ton. 😂
Can you even?
And last, but surely not least, these darling swizzle sticks. I popped into Lucy's Market today and walked out with a few things for the freezer for next week and a pile of swizzle sticks. I got two for Thanksgiving and two packs for Christmas. I wanted so many, they were all so darling. I snagged this set of pink turkeys + this set of pumpkins to add to the leaves I already have. And for Christmas I picked up these Santa mugs + this set as well. Aren't they so very cute? Spend some time on the site, they have so many and they are all so very fun. They make great gifts, and are perfect for hostess gifts!!
I hope your Monday was fabulous!
