Pink Drinks With Paige

What is better than besties in cute dresses with yummy pink drinks?  I am not sure, but the only thing I can think of would be having them all together in the same room at the same time.  If you follow me on Instagram, and you should, you will see that I just published a carousel of my darling friends all wearing a Sue Sartor dress and holding their favorite pink drink. They are all gorgeous, talented, and wicked smart and each of them brings something unique and special to this mix.  Plus, they all have delicious pink drink recipes to share with you. 💗

To begin I made my favorite pink drink, a Cosmopolitan. It is the perfect mix of tangy and ice cold and I love holding it in a great crystal martini glass.  This post today was inspired by the dress designer Sue Sartor who said I should most definitely host a round of Pink Drinks with Paige.  I immediately thanked her for the inspiration and got to work inviting my precious friends.  I am wearing the Paloma Flounce in Dahlia Rose, a beautiful true pink dress with just a touch of the happiest yellow.  Perfect for any day and most definitely the ideal choice to pair with a pink drink.

The recipe ...

Cosmopolitan

1 cup vodka
1/2 cup triple sec
1/2 cup cranberry juice
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and pour through a strainer into four martini glasses. If you are making just one you can divide the ingredients by four but I definitely recommend sharing with friends.

And now, my friends ...

First up we have Avoly Wainwright, the co-owner of Meme's Boutique in Perry, Georgia.  Avoly and her mother Kimberly run Meme's and are truly two of the best there is.  This mother and daughter team are not only business partners but also true best friends and their bond is apparent the second you meet one of them.  Meme's is a go to for me and Avoly is hands down the best stylist if you need a recommendation of what to wear for just about anything at all.  Avoly is drinking a grown up Shirley Temple, known as a Dirty Shirley, how yummy does that sound? Her darling Sue Sartor dress is the Paloma Flounce Dress in Pink/Kumquat.  She is truly as beautiful inside as she is out.

The recipe ...

Dirty Shirley
2 oz. Grey Goose Vodka
4 oz. Sprite, she uses Sprite Zero
1 oz. Grenadine
Garnish with a cherry, or two

Oh, my sweet Caroline.  Caroline Hernandez is the owner of Sweet Caroline Designs and truly one of the funniest and smartest people I know.  She can draw literally anything and has created more designs for me than I can count.  Caroline is from Northern Louisiana and can be found most days with her two darling girls crawling all over her.  If you know Caroline than you absolutely know both Mignonne and Margot.  Caroline is drinking her favorite Rose, La Vieille Ferme, what she fabulously calls "chicken wine".  Caroline is full of sass, wit, and style for days.  She is wearing Paloma Flounce Dress in Punch Pink and Dusty Blue.  This dress was a collaboration done between Hazen & Co. + Sue Sartor for last Valentines Day.  It is one of my favorites!

Elizabeth White and her sweet friend Anna Verner Garcia are up next.  I love that they are sharing their pink drinks while playing with their children, one of my favorite things to do when mine were younger. Elizabeth is a powerhouse and truly one of the smartest and most connected women I know.  She recently sold her public relations agency to spend more time as a mother and I could not love this move more for her.  Elizabeth is a go to for online auctions and estate sale shopping as she is so savvy at shopping and purchasing both.  Anna is the co-owner of Varnish, an artisanal wicker for the home company that you must check out immediately. They are drinking a Cherry Blossom, a Columbus, Georgia local special drink and one I will be trying asap.  Elizabeth is wearing the Paloma Flounce in Asters + Zinnias and Anna is wearing the Paloma Flounce in Delft and Citrine

My darling friend Ashley Brooke.  To know Ashley is to have immense respect for her as a woman, business owner, wife, and light in this world.  I met Ashley years ago when she designed my first blog header.  She has become one of my favorite people as we clung to each other during both of our husband's journeys through cancer and beyond.  She is currently expecting a baby boy in May and I could literally burst with excitement for her. She and Ryan will be the sweetest and best parents, this has been a goal and prayer for them for so long. I do not make a visit to central Florida without scheduling a few hours at our favorite meeting place to catch up and be with Ashley.  She is truly one of a kind. Ashley is enjoying her favorite mocktail these days, recipe below, and is wearing the Paloma Flounce in Barely Blush Marigold.  She is truly glowing in this photo and I so wish I could hug her so hard.

The recipe ...

Fresh Cranberry Lime Mocktail/Cocktail

1 oz. Cranberry Juice
1/2 oz. Lime Juice
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 can of Lime Soda Water
2 tsp. of Maple Syrup or Agave
OPTIONAL : 1-2 oz of Tequila

Oh, my sweet girl Nicole.  Nicole Letts is another very smart cookie.  I am surrounded by the best of the best and she is one of the those woman.  She is a free lance writer, pen for hire, and vintage resale shop owner, Grandmillennial Shop.  Nicole and I spend a lot of time together, shopping estate sales, lunching and idea swapping, and just lifting each other up on this journey known as life.  She is sassy and fun, perfectly spoken, and has a true heart of gold.  She is a hustler, and I so respect a hustler, a pup owner, and the darling wife to her beloved Hunter.  If you aren't shopping with Nicole and her amazing finds are we even friends?  She is drinking a delicious Coconut Blood Orange Margarita and we immediately decided these would be on repeat this summer. Her darling dress is the Hamilton in Vermillion and Bisque Botanical.

The recipe ...

Coconut Blood Orange Margaritas

Mix all together in a cocktail shaker and pour into a rocks glass filled with ice.  Garnish with blood orange slices, and or lime.  Makes 1 drink.

The precious Taylor Turner.  Taylor is the creator and owner of Hazen & Co., one of the best jewelry brands around.  Taylor started her business as a 9 year old making and selling jewelry at her brothers baseball games, and as a 24 year old celebrated 15 years in business! I absolutely love Taylor.  She is a woman of strong faith, a true friend, and a savvy business woman and creative. The Hazen Flagship is a hot spot and must shop destination in Dallas, Texas that you can not miss if you are local or visiting.  Her one of a kind designs are something I collect and treasure.  She is offering readers and followers a fabulous deal on her Valentine Collection, you can use code PINKPAIGE for 15% off the collection until midnight on Valentines Day.  Don't miss out on this gift

Taylor is drinking a Pink Champagne Margarita and wearing the Paloma Flounce Dress in Punch Pink and Dusty Blue.  This dress was a collaboration done between Hazen & Co. + Sue Sartor for last Valentines Day.  As I said before, it is one of my favorites and I was lucky enough to buy one last week!

The recipe ...

Pink Champagne Margarita

1 cup champagne
2 cups pink lemonade
½ cup tequila
½ cup triple sec
¼ cup lime juice
lime slices

Combine all ingredients. Rim glass with lime slice then dip in sugar or salt.

The one and only Sue Sartor!  Sue is an kind hearted and talented clothing designer and the creator of every single one of our dresses.  Sue is one of the loveliest women I know and I was so excited to reconnect with her at the recent Southern C Summit.  I first met Sue two years ago in the bathroom at The Cloister and she was so kind and loving when I complimented her dress.  She said ... "thank you, I designed it" and little did I know at that moment that her designs and her brand were about to blow up in the best way possible.  Fast forward two years and Sue was so sweet when I approached her to reintroduce myself and she greeted me with a warm hug and a simple ... "how could I forget you?" .  She is wearing the Paloma Flounce in Watermelon Lattice + Lillies and drinking a delicious looking Sazerac Champagne Cocktail.  Isn't she effortlessly amazing?  I can tell you Sue makes magic dresses.  They are so soft, so comfortable, and look amazing on every single person wearing them.  That is definitely pure magic and worth every single penny. 😍

The recipe ...

Sazerac Champagne Cocktail

Herb Saint Absinth, to rinse the glass
Sazerac Rye Whiskey
Sugar cube soaked in grenadine to muddle
3 dashes of Peychaud's Bitters
Champagne of choice as a topper
Lemon peel to garnish

Rinse a chilled Old Fashioned glass or champagne coup with the absinthe, fill with crushed ice and set aside. Add the Sazerac, muddle the sugar and bitters into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled. Discard the ice and any excess absinthe from the prepared glass, and strain the drink into the glass. Express the lemon peel oils over the top of the drink, and garnish with the peel.

Top with champers!

3/4 Cup of Cranberry Juice
1/4 Cup of Pomegranate Juice

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice until chilled. Strain the ice and pour mix into a rocks glass and top with frozen cranberries. Cheers!

7.5 Cups of Cranberry Juice

  1. All of these dresses are so beautiful. I have been making my own dresses since I was 10 years old and am considering trying to make a pattern for one. I noticed the stitching on your dress and the tension on the sewing machine used for your dress was not correct. If you notice the threads at the collar were not pulled into the fabric and if you pulled the thread the loose thread would pull out easily. It was also out of the correct tension on the last photo of your dress below the bustline. The thread could easily be pulled and the dress might fall apart. The stitching looks terrible on such a high priced dress.
