Before I even say more let me tell you about my friend Ashley Brooke. She is sunshine walking around. She is kind, so sweet, and truly the loveliest person I have ever met. I have always felt like she was a true gift to my life and any time we have together definitely shines brightly. To know Ashley is to know a kind, gifted, and honestly just the best person. I admire her faith, her patience, and her joy for life. She is just the sweetest, best friend. So when she told me she had a collection with Sunshine Tienda I was overjoyed for her. It may be an MFEO (made for each other) collaboration. It is bright, happy, and filled with the same sunshine that Ashley exudes in her life. I was honored when she asked me if I would like to help her announce her launch. I think my response was ... YES PLEASE with all the xoxo I could add.
Sunshine Tienda is a vacation-inspired accessories brand. Just scrolling through their website you find yourself wanting to check flights and available VRBOs. The Texas-based twin sisters create pieces that make you crave a warm-weather destination. Ashley's collection consists of three hats, two pareos, and three pieces of jewelry that would be ideal for a vacay. I will be packing all of it for our beach trips this summer and wearing my new hat on repeat for the hot days we have here in the deep south. The details of each piece in the collection are truly incredible and the hat she gifted me has the most darling embroidered daisies on it, which is Ashley to a T.
If you are not a fan of a pareo I am about to convince you that it is a must-have when near the water. I wear one every single day in the sun at the beach. It is perfect for covering my bum on the way to the water, ideal to lay on top of my towel when it gets sandy, and so good to lay over me on the chair if I get chilly. I adore a pareo and tie mine on my left hip. You can also tie it higher on your chest but I chose the hip option. They are also so great as a scarf for a restaurant when it's chilly and you have been super warm all day. I am telling you I own three now and I do not leave for the water without them. I chose the pink one Ashley is wearing in the photo, it is just so me. I think it would also make a great "skirt" with your bathing suit bottoms if you are popping into a market or for ice cream after dinner. It is lightweight and the colors and the pattern are so pretty.
The collection includes a stack of bangles, which I love, and two pairs of earrings. They gifted me the rainbow splashed hoops and I think they are truly so good for all things summer. I love how they are subtle yet the stripes are so ideal for mixing with colors and patterns. I see myself grabbing them, again and again, to pair with dresses, tops + shorts, and of course dinner at the beach. I am thrilled with them. I have already paired them with a nap dress and my new hat and it was as my daughter says ... chef's kiss!
