A shift dress is truly an excellent piece for your wardrobe. You can dress it up, dress it down, add a sneaker and a baseball hat for a day out, add a cute dress shoe and a clutch and head out for date night. Holly Shae has created the Arden, my favorite shift dress, perfect for all these needs. This fall, she has released two solids, navy and black, along with a few gingham options, and I love them all. As soon as my mailbox produced the new fall gingham Ardens, I put them into rotation in my closet. I have worn both the navy gingham (just added) and the brown gingham more than once and have planned to wear the olive as quickly as the weather cools a bit. This dress is fantastic, fits beautifully, and, as stated above, can be worn day to evening with just a few changes. The variety of uses makes it a desirable piece for me to take on trips. With just a change of accessories and shoes, it becomes perfect to wear for day events and dinner later in the day.

I paired my Arden with sneaks and my estate sale bag yesterday and headed out for a day of shopping and sourcing. At 5 pm, I traded my tote for a sling bag, added a baseball hat, and headed to watch our girl play volleyball. If our plans had been different, I could have easily traded my sneaks for a mule and my tote for my regular purse to be perfectly dressed for dinner with friends. I love how comfortable and easy to wear this dress is, all while being so versatile and easy to style. Can you tell I love this dress?
