Bar Cart Series ... No. 4 TPC Porch

Happy July 1 ... and happy holiday weekend!  Today's bar cart for the Bar Cart series is a bar I created for July 4th.  We are spending the evening with dear friends and our kids and will be spending most of our time on the porch.  The perfect thing about a bar or bar cart is that it can be set up where ever you need to best accommodate your serving needs. We spend so much time on the porch during the summer evenings, it is the perfect place to watch the sun set and spend time with friends and loved ones.

Since we already have a server on the porch it was the perfect location for the bar area.  I just moved a few things and set up exactly what I will need. These darling cups, napkins and swizzle sticks were custom made for me for the holiday weekend by Sequins & Lipstick Paper Company.  I adore the cute Greek key elements on the cup.  And the best part, the designs aren't limited to just holiday weekend use.

I love these darling swizzle sticks ... there will be no questions as to which drinks are adult only!

For me a bar area isn't complete without a few signature things.  I always include flowers and I usually include a blue and white piece or two.  My darling sitting monkey was perfect to hold cut limes and I grabbed a blue willow creamer from the kitchen for the swizzle sticks.  I love to use things for different uses and grabbing the creamer was perfect for this need.

All prepped and ready for a 5:00 happy hour tonight.  I will just need to bring in the limes, watermelon juice and of course any left over rosé when we head in for the evening. The rest will be ready when I need it again.

I stocked the bar area with both rosé and the makings of a signature drink for the day.  I do have other ingredients in the house for other requests, but I find if I make something special it is what we drink. And what is more fun that a special drink for the evening?

And of course, where ever I am Miles isn't too far behind!  Love that sweet dog ...

Watermelon Refresco

5.5 cups chopped seeded watermelon
(I cheated and bought watermelon juice at Fresh Market)
3/4 c tequila
6 Tbs Triple Sec
5 T fresh lime juice
2 1/4 cups club soda
6 lime wedges

Mix 3 cups watermelon juice, tequila, Triple Sec and lime juice in a pitcher and stir.  Gently stir in club soda.  Serve over ice with lime wedges.

Enjoy!
