Happy Saturday!! I am super excited to share a fun sale with you today that starts at 8 pm tonight. Set an alarm, mark your calendar on your phone and get ready, this is a fun one!
My darling friend and super talented artist Megan Carn is hosting a art sale tonight for some of her original pieces. She has a small collection of monkeys she is selling that you will definitely want to check out! They are all amazing, as I was privileged to be given a sneak peek. Megan is so fun and super talented and her pieces are incredibly colorful and full of life.
Let me back up a second and tell you more about sweet Megan.
Megan Carn is one of kind. Her heart is as large as her talent. She is warm and kind and so very talented at every single thing she does. She lives her life with purpose and to hear her friends gush about her last weekend while I was in Columbia made me so happy to know her. She is funny and fun to be with and I am so lucky to know this sweet and darling girl.
Megan and two of her equally talented and precious friends introduced themselves to me when I was working on the Jack and Jill bathroom this spring. I immediately fell in love with her art as Little Bit and I scrolled through her feed while at the beach for spring break. She offered to create an original piece for the bathroom and told me to let my girl pick out something that spoke to her.
When MHM chose a pair of giraffes I was thrilled. One of my favorite animals I thought it would be perfect for her colorful bathroom. Plus her reason for choosing it made my heart explode. "It reminds me of us Mom, and I love it". Megan asked me to send her my style board for the space and she took care of the rest. She even told me the size, which I immediately made space for in an ideal spot next to the sink. The painting greets her every morning and brings a huge smile to her face. She absolutely loves it and so do I.
I love that Megan listened to the wants of my girl and created a one of a kind piece for her. I love that at a young age Little Bit knows the importance of art. How it can play such a special part in your life and this painting will be something she adores for many years to come. We truly love it so very much!

IF I WERE LABELING MY ART, I WOULD SAY THAT I AM A PAINTER OF ABSTRACTED THINGS- FRUIT, ANIMALS, FLORALS- OR JUST ABSTRACTS. IN THE LAST FEW YEARS, I HAVE FOUND MYSELF PAINTING A TON OF ANIMALS, AND THEY ARE ALL SO BOLD AND SASSY. PETS, ELEPHANTS, GIRAFFES- ALL FULL OF COLOR.
TRULY, MY COLLECTOR IS A PERSON WHO LOVES WHAT SHE (OR HE!) LOVES AND KNOWS WHAT SHE LOVES. SHE ISN'T AFRAID TO DECORATE IN AN UNEXPECTED WAY. SHE HAS A GREAT FIRST APARTMENT OR A GORGEOUS FOREVER HOME AND WANTS A CONVERSATION PIECE- AND SHE IS REALLY, REALLY COOL. PEOPLE LOVE HER!
I'M A LOVER OF FLOWERS AND FASHION AND DINNER PARTIES, AND I THINK MY PAINTINGS ARE JUST ANOTHER THING I DO BECAUSE I LOVE TO DO IT.
