This summer has been warm in Atlanta and I find myself wearing more dresses than I normally wear this time of year.  I usually have a uniform of about 25% dresses and 75% shorts and tunics or polos but this year it has been very dress heavy, and I definitely don't hate it.  With a few days of rain our temperatures dropped and I grabbed the dress above which is so cute and so cozy.  A perfect fit for yesterdays chilly temps.  I have been wearing this dress quite a bit, but at the moment it is sold out.  It is so very cute ... hopefully it will come back in stock.  I have picked some of my other favorites and some new ones for you (and for me) so we can both add some cute ones to the mix since I can't seem to quit the dress addiction.

For me a summer dress has to fit a few requirements.  It needs to be cute, it needs to be comfortable and it needs to be long enough that I can wear it without worrying about the length while I am sitting, walking and doing things around the house.  There are so many cute dresses I see that I find are just a little too short for me, and for those I shy away.  I love a dress that is easy to throw on with sandals or wedges if I change shoes for dinner.  Honestly some of my absolute favorites are full length, and can we just mention caftans.  Who doesn't love a caftan?

I also love a dress I can wear more than one way.  A shirt dress can be worn with a belt, loose and with a scarf or alone.  Every single time I wear the dress it would look just slightly different from the last time and I love that.   I can also wear the same shirt dress with sandals or a sweater tied around my waist and Tretorns for a more casual look.  You get more bang for your buck with versatile choices.

Oh, and who doesn't love an all white dress?  Add a hat and sandals for a day out or wedges and a cocktail clutch for dinner.  It is even perfect for a summer outdoor wedding.  Yes, yes please!
