Blue + White For Your Home

As we both know I love all things blue and white, with blue and white dishes and porcelain at the very top of that love list.  I have collected a number of pieces over the years and I think it makes every corner of our colorful house feel more pulled together to have one or two things that are consistent.  In the kitchen I now have two areas that are favorites of mine with all our dishes stacked up and ready to be used every single day.  All of the blue and white crazy started for me when my in laws gifted us a stack of Blue Willow dishes they used for years and then passed down to us.  I know proudly use them daily and hope one day to pass them down to one of our children.  That gift a number of years ago began my love for blue and white and I don't see it ending anytime soon.

I get a number of requests for sources for starting or adding to a blue and white collection.  I have a number of sources I use but the one I share most is to check the amazing selection at Walmart.  I have found some amazing dishes, porcelain, lamps and linens that are truly great and the prices can't be beat.  I love sharing this source and then having a friend or follower email me or text and tell me they found the best piece.  You can shop for so many blue and white items and pretty quickly build up quite a collection.  For me the best way to build one is over time with great pieces and I assure you ... one of my favorite sources is definitely Walmart.

I think my favorite blue and white pieces are the ones I found for a song, ones with broken lids I use for vases or to hold flatware or pieces I have found in the most random places.  When I discovered the selection at Walmart I was thrilled.  When you see the pieces I picked out below you will want every single one.  Their collection is good, as in really good, and the prices are fabulous.

Great selection, great prices plus free shipping over $35, yes please!!

I am also a firm believer in using what you own so make sure to choose pieces that you find useful and then use them.  Not sure what to do with a piece while its not be used ... you can always hang your platters and plates on the wall, use your pottery for flowers and to hold utensils, and your planters for your patio or to sit next to the stove for extra utensils.  I do all of these things and it makes sure all of my pieces get the love they deserve.

I have gathered up all my favorite pieces from the incredible choices available at Walmart.  I think the prices on their Blue Willow is fabulous and most definitely the incredible vases with the bases.  Can you even handle the goodness?

Happy Thursday ... and happy shopping!
