Frontgate Blue + White For Spring

The moment my Frontgate catalog came and I spotted the new table linens I immediately started envisioning it as a fabulous spring table.  Those amazing blue flowers with so many shades of blue included were just calling for some pretty dishes and an outside venue. With a trip to Nashville planned I could not think of a better reason to pack up my new linens and set a table with my dear friend Mary in one of the prettiest outdoor settings I have seen. Now that we are all staying in I keep going back to this table in my head ready to plan a spring dinner with all our friends enjoying the weather and the peace of knowing the worst is behind us.

It will be a few weeks or more, but I am holding steady to the vision. 💙

I love so many things about this table and the linens are pretty far up the list.  The Savannah Performance Linens are designed to repel liquids which makes them basically perfect.  I, for one, am constantly spilling something on my tablecloth and with these when I do it will bubble up and I can blot it with a paper napkin or towel and it will instantly be gone.  Can you see now why I immediately clicked add to cart?

When styling this table we really started with the linens and let it be the star of the show.  The best part about using blue and white is how easily it all flows together and with the Savannah tablecloth there were so many beautiful blues included it was fun to mix them all together.  With the addition of some antique dishes, blue and white porcelain and beautiful blue glasses the table instantly came together.  With florals we chose to mix some amazing apricot roses with a small perfect pink stock and fluffy white hydrangeas.  I really loved the combination and I am sure you will see me use it again and again.

Anyone else completely in love with mixing all shades of one color?  These blues are making me swoon.

I started a collection of Wedgwood Jasperware about 18 months ago and I love finding pieces in the most fun antique shopping spots.  My newest find is the tea pot which I was more than happy to take on a vacation with me.  I absolutely love the blue and white details and how the pattern instantly adds so much character to anything you mix it with.  My collection currently consists of a number of small vases and plates, two large vases, two tea cups with saucers, and now the darling tea pot.  I am really enjoying watching it grow.

And can we talk about those cute Staffie pup accessories?  Yes please!

I really like adding a small snack to tables for your guests to nibble while they are chatting and waiting to be served.  For this table we chose to use Southern Straws cheese straws which look so darling in the antique creamware vessel.  Another amazing antique score ... and perfect for these delicious cheese straws which were gobbled up the second the photos were finished. 😉

Does this not make you dream of spring days, long nights with extra sunshine, and all sorts of yummy meals?  Can we make that happen now please?

I am a big fan of macaroons and ones you can tailor for your color needs make me all sorts of giddy.  We received this box from -- and not only are the so perfectly matched to our decor, but they were just as delicious as they are pretty.  I would definitely recommend ordering from Nashville Petite Sweets.  I think it would be so fun to see all kinds of color combinations put together, how about red, white and blue ... or pink and green.  You can see I am dreaming of many events once this home time lifts.

Dressing for an event is just as fun as planning for it and we had a blast choosing what to wear.  I will have a detailed post for you tomorrow on clothes perfect for this blue and white spring table showing you all the items we both looked at before choosing.  Mary is darling in her Napa dress and I chose this striped dress.  I have told you many times, the classic, preppy pieces always call my name.  I will most definitely wear this dress many times ... pairing it with ballet flats (here), espadrille wedges, and even sneaks.

Yes please!

This day with the gorgeous sun, the table and its details, and the amazing blue and white is making me more than happy this morning.  You will love this table linen and its many uses.  Of course the color and pattern won me over but the stain proof element sealed the deal for sure with me.  It will be used many, many times in my home.  It would be amazing for Easter mixed with green and pink and even for Fourth of July mixed with red gingham.  Oh, can you see I am dreaming up all sorts of goodness?

Happy Wednesday to you all!
