My Favorite Robe

As a child and older I was never a fan of a robe.  I think it is the product of growing up in Florida where the littlest amount of clothing when you are sleeping and out of the shower is best.  I had a great terry wrap around I wore as a teen and when I went to college, we all had them, but it was not until I moved to Georgia I developed a desire to own a robe.  I remember the first time I knew I needed one.  I was living in Virginia Highlands and I went upstairs to the house that I lived in the basement apartment under to ask for something and one of the girls answered the door wearing a darling plaid robe.  Under the robe she had a perfect pair of plaid pajamas that was not the same pattern, but still a great plaid.  As she asked me what I wanted I am sure I just stood there with my head tilted thinking ... I am going to need to a "robe" to my list of must haves. 😂 I can remember it vividly ... her pairing of pajamas + robe was perfection.

Fast forward many years and I now know the many reasons one should wear a robe. First of all drying off completely inside a robe after a shower is the best.  I know take both my towel and my robe off their hooks to the shower every single time.  While I am getting ready you can definitely find me donning a towel wrapped around my head + my robe. Second, when you are first moving around in the morning and the pups need to be let out ... the robe is most definitely your friend.  Our neighborhood is busy and we live at a stop sign and they have most definitely seen me in my robe waiting for Millie to tinkle. Last ... I love adding a robe to my night routine.  When you are tired and getting ready for bed it just delivers the perfect element of cozy.  

A week or so ago Weezie treated me to their new long sleeve patterned robe.  It arrived and I was immediately in love.  It is so soft, perfectly pink, and next level when it comes to cozy.  I took it out of the bag and instantly moved my other robe, also a Weezie, to the closet for traveling, and moved this darling pink one to the robe hook.  Since it arrived I have worn it daily, and after every shower, and every single morning while letting the pups out.  One of the ladies walking by even complimented it, which of course made my whole morning. 💗

You must check out the new long sleeve patterned robes, they are so darling and I can not talk about their softness enough.  I love the blue stripe as well, and the hearts ... yes please!  I would add this to your husbands radar for a happy little Valentine gift for you.  You will be so thankful you did!

Oh, and on those mornings outside ... you better believe I have a large cup of coffee! 🍵
