Halloween Explosion ...

I have decorated for Halloween for many years but to varying degrees.  Sometimes I just do carved pumpkins and tea lights and other times I have decorated the stoop with more details and even dressed a scarecrow as me.  I have never added blowups to our yard as they really aren't me ... but this year I have gone all out.  When my father in law went into hospice I decided I would decorate with every single thing I had since his birthday falls on Halloween. When he passed away a few weeks ago I added to my stash to make sure it was full all Hallows eve over here to celebrate him. 

With all the vintage pumpkin baskets, bows on pups, haunted mansions lit, and fairy lights and spiders everywhere ... it is officially Halloween season at our home. 

Prepare for a huge photo explosion ... I took a ton! 🎃

I honestly feel so festive and wish I could leave it up all the time.  It makes me so happy to see each piece and each evening when all the candles are lit and the fairy lights come on I love it even more. I have taken advice from my friend Nicole and watching Halloween themed movies (nothing scary, I can't do it), drinking out of my Halloween mugs, and even wearing cute pjs. I gathered up all our favorite seasonal movies, added scary (ish) books to the coffee table and even added roses in all oranges.  I am one hundred percent in for it and I am so happy about it. 

And it makes me miss him less, I think he would love it all. 

Most of these items I already owned, the rest I picked up at Homegoods and Target.  All the ribbon came from Michaels and Hobby Lobby, I use their ribbons for everything I do. 

I love how simple yet over the top it feels.  It is truly so fun to see every single day. 🎃
