Hostess Gifts + Favorite Things

Happy Monday ... and happy second week of December!  Do we think time will ever slow down a little bit?  I had a really laid back weekend after hitting a major wall last week.  I am not sure what all contributed to the panic attack, but I know I have made some big changes since then.  I do know that I was in the middle of working on my advent posts for Influenced by Grace and talking about Mary and her heart and thoughts and at the same time staring at a very worldly to do list.  It did not make any sense at all and I had to make some changes and remove items.  This is the season of advent and I want to lean into that and to the blessings I have been given and not spend the season rushing from one thing to another and not enjoy any of it.  I laid on the couch on Saturday evening watching the SEC championship and snuggling with my family staring at the beautiful twinkle lights just taking it all in. It was peaceful and it was right where I wanted and needed to be.

Just some thoughts in case I am not the only one who is sorting out some big things this season.  💗

This week is filled with big blog posts ... photos of our living room all decorated, and some fun things coming and I am very excited to share.  I have some small things to attend this week and I am excited about them.  I need a few hostess happies ... and a favorites item to share, so I have pulled together some gift ideas for you.  Each of these items would also make great stocking stuffers, and also little happies for sisters, mothers, and best friends.

I hope your day is magical.

  1. Love your tree. I use mostly vintage balls I have collected over the years. My entry hall tree has extra special vintage acorn balls with string attached.

I put up some Christmas decor but then add as I find inspiration online.

This week I will begin wrapping gifts for kids and grands. I do one person per day so I'm not overwhelmed.

Wishing you the blessings of this season. Merry Christmas!

  2. Love your tree! It takes me back many decades ago when it was considered an "art" to arrange the silver icicles just right! You got the touch. Beautiful....just beautiful.
