Setting The Fourth Of July Table

What could be better than celebrating July 4th at the beach?  Isn't that the ideal spot to celebrate with the shells, sand, and endless sunsets?  I had the fantastic opportunity to spend a few days at the beach in May to set this stunning table to share with you today.  I love all things summer; I just love the slow days, the long meals over a long table, and all the slowed-down family time.  Am I right?  Growing up, we went to the beach every Saturday, and I still crave the feeling of a cold shower when you get home.  It just feels like summer, even now, all these years later. So July 4th at the beach would be a dream come true for me.

What I love most about this table is twofold, how spot-on it is with colors and how simple it truly is. I love this tablecloth + napkin pairing from the darling From Me 2 U in Blairsville, Ga. My husband and I took a little road trip after Mother's Day and loved shopping with the darling ladies that own the shop.  They helped me choose the linens for this table and our Memorial Day table, and that time together is something I will remember at every Memorial Day table. That time together is something I will remember every time I pull them out. They are not online, but you can call the shop, and they will help you choose what you need. I know that linens have been trendy this year, so call soon before it all sells out. 😉

I paired these red and blue linens with four things; these chargers, this flatware, our favorite Blue Willow plates, and some cherished plates I have started collecting.  Those blue bows get me every single time. I genuinely mean what I say when I tell you this table is easy to recreate, as you can mix what you have with one or two things you buy or borrow.  BTW, I love to borrow stuff from my friends. 💙

I completely forgot to think about the center of the table when I planned it out ... and at the last minute had to use what was around.  I think it was the best happy accident as filling this table with shells from the area left me feeling so full of joy.  It looks so good and is truly something anyone can do at the beach. Remember all the shells we hunt always; let's use them on the table and show them off. These shells were collected by the homeowners and were used and replaced when I finished. The coral is the best part; isn't it gorgeous?

And for glassware?  Well, that was easy.  I used wine glasses for our rosé and darling cups for lemon water. I love Emily's fun designs for July 4th, and these cups are so fun to use again and again for water, cocktails, and everything.  I will pull them back out this week and use them again.  You will definitely see all these items on our table next week ... and the menu might even be the same; we shall see.

Even more fun, that cute firework pattern comes in clothes as well. I have this top, which I will be wearing, and how darling are these napkins and this dress?  The Poppy top and dress are my favorites!

Now that our table is planned out, we can focus on what to wear and what to eat, both coming in the next two days!  This week is about July 4th, and I could not love it more!

Happy Monday ...
