I almost missed National Peach Day ... but I can not miss the opportunity to share the fantastic picnic I had with friends in Perry, Ga., earlier this summer. Eating a peach-inspired meal in an orchard is a must-do; we had so much fun. My friend Avoly's husband Tyler manages the most beautiful orchards just outside Perry, and he was so generous to offer to let us set up a table and spend some time in one of the orchards during golden hour. It was truly stunning, and, as always, I learned so much from Tyler about the peaches.
As you can see in the images, we love to be together. Besties are just that, truly the best. AnnaLouise, Nicole, Avoly, and I are all super close. We all attend Summit and then get together as we can with one of us in Greenville and one in Perry. But, as it is essential, we make time to be together and try to always make it memorable. The picnic and the stunning images were used in the Parties & Celebrations issue of Entertain & Celebrate, which can be purchased here.
Every item on the menu included peaches, including the peach tea with an optional bourbon splash. It was so fun to create this menu. The darling watercolor menu we used as place cards is by Mary Catherine Studio.
Our dresses are from Sue Sartor, and our hats are from Sarah Bray, both brands we all love and adore! We all wore sneakers as the orchard is quite dirty to walk in!
As you can tell, we honestly had the best time. I love my girls!!
Happy (one day late) Peach day. I hope you enjoy all those late summer peaches as much as possible. Somehow this year, they just seem sweeter! And those darling cookies? They are from House & Craft Co., which always makes adorable cookies for me!
Have the best Tuesday ...,
