Lamp Shade Sources + A Sale

As I have stated, February's deep dive on Instagram was all about lamps.  I taught two classes, one about rewiring a lamp and one about making fabric-covered shades.  I love lamps and customizing them for your space, and  I love to add a great shade, a fun finial, and even an exciting base.  Lamps are one of the easiest things to customize, and the quickest way to do so is with a delightful shade.  I have some great resources for printed shades, one of which is currently on sale.  These are all resources I have purchased repeatedly and can easily recommend.

The Enchanted Home ...

Tina has a fantastic shop.  You are in for a treat if you haven't shopped with her before.  When you peruse her shop, you will most likely spot items you see in some of your favorite stores, as she sells wholesale and retail. Her lampshades are fantastic.  I own eight of them, four 17-inch bases, and 4 chandelier shades. They are fantastic, and I buy from her all the time.

Lamps Plus ...

I have a few lights in our house from Lamps Plus, but their lampshade section is new to me.  I thought there were some really good ones I would like to try.  I like the scallop solid ones, I think they would instantly dress up a fun lamp.  Who doesn't love a great scallop?

Cruel Mountain Designs ...

Cruel Mountain has both premade shades and will create a custom shade for you.  She is fantastic, her work is spot on, and she will tell you exactly how much fabric you need for the requested shade.  She makes regular shades and amazing pleated ones.  I highly recommend this resource to you.

Lux Lampshades ...

This is a fabulous find.  I found this while researching for you and discovered they will create a lampshade for you with fabric from Spoonflower. If you are using a fabric or wallpaper from Spoonflower, this is the best way to have a coordinating lampshade if you aren't creating one for yourself. They ship in three weeks and will run you about $230-250.

Ballard Designs ...

Ballards carries fantastic pre-made lampshades, and they are currently having a sale!!!  I shared some images from their store in Atlanta on Instagram on Monday, and so many people commented they didn't realize that Ballards had lampshades. They do, and they are amazing! Currently, they are having a lighting sale, and the lamps, lampshades, and finials are all 20% off.  This happiness finial is under $13.

Ballard Designs Outlet ...

Just like the store and the website, Ballard Designs Outlet carries lampshades.  This is definitely a hit or miss, but you score if you score.

Lowe's ...

Lowe's has an extensive lampshade collection, and I buy shades from Lowe's when I want to cover them with fabric.  They are great white options that are a perfect, affordable option for adding fabric.  While searching online, I found this one I really like.  I like the pleats on this one, and the oval shape is really fun.  I think it would be a fabulous classic, pleated style.

Target ...

Target carries many lampshades, but the only one I purchase, again and again, is a pleated off-white shade.  I have it on a few lamps in our house, and it's just a tremendous classic pleated shade for under $25.  I can't find the link for this one, but I will find it and update this post when I do.

Let me know if you grab a shade or two from my list.  I can't wait to see what you choose!

Happy Thursday ...
