Summer reading

I have been making my own summer reading list and spent a little time today researching. (Well that and reading about Jon and Kate and their train wreck!!) While I was googling I came across the blog of one of Clemsongirl's favorite authors Jen Lancaster. She has a great list. And the best part ... most of them I was not familiar with at all.

Here it is for you to peruse ...

Suggestions??? I do not read enough!!!

What can you suggest for me to check out??

  1. Oh, you must read her latest, Pretty in Plaid. It was hilarious and reminded me, in so many ways, of my growing up days. Anything by Jen is great, but I really loved this one!

  2. I just finished Shoe Addicts Annonymous. It was a very cute beach read. Now I am reading Benjamin Franklin - an autobiography. It is actually very interesting. I like to alternate between something fun and something to broaden my mind.

Next up for me is THE GUERNSEY LITERARY AND POTATO PEEL PIE SOCIETY. It is supposed to be really good.

    Enjoy!

  3. Loved the Guernsey book. I just finished it, and I think it's a book for all ages. You'll love the characters- they're fascinating. I also just finished Pretty in Plaid which I also loved (all Jen's books are great!).

A few of my all time favorites include:
    Time Travelers Wife
    Memory Keepers Daughter
Last Days of Summer (Steve Kluger- laugh out loud hilarious!!)
    The Gueneviere Trilogy (Rosalind Miles)
    The Other Boelyn Girl
