When you talk about sunscreen you also have to talk about safe sunscreen since our skin is the largest organ on our body. Anything we put on our skin gets soaked into our skin and that means we need to make wise choices. In addition to safe clothing and swim suits I purchase safe sunscreen for my family. We use two different kinds and I use them for different things and recommend every single product I own.
Supergoop Glowscreen ... this is the product I have been wearing since I can not recall the last time I wore makeup. I bought it, put it on and instantly loved it. It is safe, contains SPF 40 and provides my skin with a beautiful glow. I love it.
Supergoop Lip Balm ... this in combination with the product above makes sure my face is covered and safe.
Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Lotion ... I use this for my body that is not covered by clothing ... arms, neck, hands, legs, and feet. It is light, provides great coverage with SPF 30 and is completely safe.
Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Stick ... this is the product that is in my purse at all times. If I find myself unexpectedly outside this is the product I will grab. I can't tell you how many times I have handed it to one of my kids or realized I am heading to an outside sport and was not prepared.
Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Mist ... I own this and do not use it much but my kids definitely love it. It is perfect for reapplying for them since they are not as fair as I am. I am always worried with the spray I will miss a section and red on freckles is a bad combination!
Since today is really the beginning of pool season for us and most of you I would recommend checking your supply and ordering your sunscreen for the season. It is better to have extra than to run out, I can assure you. Some of my favorite UPF clothing is on sale (20% off with code SUMMERSWIM) so I am linking those for you as well below. Being safe in the sun is really the only way to be.
Cheers to pool days ... beach days (maybe soon) and all the afternoons watching the sunset! 🌞
