I can't not think of a better time to support our community than the time we are in right now. It is definitely unprecedented and scary and I worry about all the shops and restaurants and how they will make it work for them. Will my precious family owned donut shop be ok? Will my family owned dry cleaners with two darling girls fare alright? Will the restaurants we love so much in our neighborhood be able to make it? How about the small stores and businesses? I know they must be heavy with thoughts about their people and their bills. I think about them all the time. ❤
Now more than ever we have the ability to shop small and truly impact another person's life. Their online shop may just provide extra money for their family or it may help support them and others with the brick and mortar. I have been thinking about so many with businesses I love and support and realized the best way for me to share would be in a full blog post. I really stand behind these businesses and the people who run them. I shop them often, I own precious things from them and hope you will check them out with any needs you have during this uncertain time. The best thing we can do is to support our economy that is so unsure, and shopping small is my contribution. If I could order out from every single restaurant we love I would, most of them are already closed. I will most definitely be buying gift cards from them to share with others the second I am able.
